Savannah (Van) Hinson Rivas is a novelist, poet, essayist, and cognitive scientist. Born in Colorado in 1993, she was raised by a mother who introduced her to global literature, and she began writing stories from an early age.

She studied Linguistics, Anthropology, and Psychology at the University of New Mexico, graduating cum laude in 2016. She has a Master’s Degree in Writing from Johns Hopkins University.

Her poetry has appeared in The Curie Review, Cathexis Northwest Press, and 5x5 Magazine. She is presently in the querying process for her novel.
